Default 79 firebird fuel sending unit - will #10 fit between tank and floor pan

I have a 79 Firebird and the car is currently halfway across the United States. My question is, does the stock sending unit for the fuel tank have enough room between the tank and the floor pan to install a number 10 line for my electric fuel pump? I'm not too worried about the supply line, because I have a sump and so I supply the fuel pump using that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying to order the parts because I only have about 2 days to install them when I go back to visit the car.
