Electric Antenna Question
My 68 GTO is an original Electric Antenna car, I have the original one the car was born with, the only problem is that the antenna mast is broken off at the top. To my knowledge no one makes a replacement for these. What is the best way to go about restoring this so it's factory correct?

you have to find a used mast or try to find an NOS mast..and they are very expensive to buy NOS.
if you arent worried about originality, the 80s mopar cars had a mast that can be used..the tip is wrong but the diameter is right and the length is a little short...i cant remember which ones..but i have it written down somewhere.. they are pretty easy to work on get a fisher body manual and theres info about them in there

Thanks for the info. This restoration isn't a concourse restoration as i've changed some things but I think I'd still prefer to keep it as original as possible. I agree NOS is getting to be a little out of reach for most people. I guess I'll have to search for an original used power mast, know where I can find one?

You could try contacting someone who restores Corvette power antennas, they should be somewhat similar. They might be able to help you out.

I have the same problem, have the power antenna, with a broken mast. The Mopar mast might be the way to go.
I emailed a few people over the years about repair, no one seems to want to work on them.

Another option is to buy a used full size unit and grab the mast, the full size and Abody mast are the same but the full size antenna body tube is long, that's why Abody antennas do not go down flush to the body like big cars. The only mast that was different was the 69 Firebird unit

I was told about a guy in Indiana that repairs gm power antennas, he has an ad listed in Hemmings. I just haven't had the time to call and talk to him as this is not a priority right now. Just thought I'd begin looking for a mast or someone to give some advice on what to do in case it took a while to figure out. Thanks for all the suggestions.
