Seems like they might want to weld a little fill around the thumb adjusters to eliminate a potential weak spot, but maybe not.

So what kind of engine do you think that is? I'm guessing some type on inline 6 in a rat rod. The unique indents in the block should be a good way to id it, if you ever seen it before.

It looks like a tractor motor to me!

... and then you have those holes running right through each side ...

Car club in New Jersey called the Gasket Goons. Been to a few of their shows - this would fit right in if they had some rust on 'em.

That's a diesel, but cant tell if it's tractor or not. X2 on the nice welds- somebody does that quite often to lay a pattern like that vertically. I don't think that things gonna go anywhere.

I disagree, Mark. Does the fabricator know if he annealed or hardened the base forging by welding it? Either is NOT good when supporting an engine that weighs in excess of 800lbs.

Take a close look at where he heated the handles to bend them. I don't think they'll last long. Looks like they're weakened and not hardened to get the strength back. I wouldn't trust them as far and the end of the street.
