Default WIW '70 Formula

I recently sold a couple of cars and am interested in getting a '70-'73 F-body. I'm definitely fairly green on the value and year-to-year specifics on the 70-73's, even though I spend a lot of time reading in this section. This forum seems to have a high number of contributors who's opinions I respect, so I thought I would ask...

Assuming the drivetrain is all numbers matching, mechanically sound, and pictures tell the real story, what is correct/incorrect, and what are opinions on value?

Good luck.
Car looks nice!

What plant is it from?
Van Nuys?

Norwood plant the underneath body would be red oxide.

It looks good either way.

That looks like a very nice Formula. It looks like someone has put a lot of money into it. How much the seller asking?

Are you asking us to find things that are not absolutely factory correct?

Yes, I suppose so, such as correct year fenders, grilles, etc, and an opinion on value.

John, it is a Norwood car.

As John mentioned, the floorpan bottoms should be Red Oxide.
Has a replacement master cylinder.
Wrong heat stove tubing.
Should have an open face alternator.
Looks like it may have had a '73-74 style radiator overflow bottle added on.
May be an incorrect fuel pump and fuel line routing.
Painted black hood hinges.
Lots if things underneath painted black that shouldn't be.
To me, none of these things are a deal killer if the price is right. They can all be changed to more correctness.

That's a little too expensive in my opinion for that car in that condition. If it was a RA III 4spd in that condition possibly.

Funny, I hadn't seen the ad from Transamsflorida before. The ad (with fewer pics) I saw has it priced at $39.9, which I still think is high, especially after the input here. I appreciate everyone's input very much.

MIA

A few other incorrect details:
The rear side trim panels and sail panels are not correct for a '70.
The space saver spare tire is not the right style.
The metal dash portion at the base of the windshield is painted black, but should be blue to match the padded dash.

Overall, it's a nice looking car in a great factory color combo. Agree price seems a bit on the high side for a non-RA car, though.

It's probably worth in the 30 to 35k range.

I like the car, especially the color combo, but the price is not realistic for a non ram air car (JMHO).

This car was just on eBay and didn't sell at 35K, and it's a real ram air car with a nice build sheet.

Nice car and agree on high price. I am not in mainstream here of incorrect things having to be corrected instantly if bought, or maybe at all in some cases, but price should reflect correctness. In spite of all the not right items, if car was solid as looks, at a good price it would be a great car. Throw them the right price in your mind and see if they budge, it is free.

I did, another car I wont look at. I might make an offer. Don't need another car right now. Seems there are a few cars right now in the area for sale.
