Hopefully saved you some money at the end of the day and you have a really durably block (where like Charlie66 in the boost forum) you can grow with the boost levels that you dial into the engine combination over time and not worry about the block.

Wouldn't that block still be much stronger than a stock block, just because of design and extra material?

I think I posted that same info to your question earlier.
Yes, 67GTO4SPEED, the All Pontiac splayed caps, beefier construction, thicker walls would all contribute to a stronger block vs a stock Pontiac block BUT THE MAN WANTED TO GO WITH A BOOSTED ENGINE.

If you for example wanted a much stronger naturally aspirated block you would be fine with the ones being sold, on the special deal.
