U47, yea I saw that car, was Bruce Fulpers IIRC. Here's a more in depth article by Roger Huntington from Cars magazine, April 68. Hopefully the pics come out ok.

I imagine better ones don't come up for sale very often. How about some pictures for conversation sake

Would be very hard to Part with. It's my third car, but my first NEW car. I still have my second car too. My first car I sold to buy the Lemans--that was a mistake I still kick myself for doing. This is all before graduating from H/S.

Glad you liked the article Rich. Btw, the lemans on ebay that started this thread ended at $12851. far short of his craigslist price.
i also probably have the original roadtest for the 69 royal firebird 350 car. bear with me, it might take me awhile to find it. i'll post it in the firebird section. |

As a run of the mill 68 GTO owner, I'd rather have a 350 HO Lemans or Tempest any day. Same block, few less cubes, way more rarity and bragging rights.
With a few exceptions ... the GTO will still always seem like an option package on the Tempest to me. I had a 66 Tempest with a 326 and a power glide ... just and awesome car to me ... in fact, I think I'm going to sell the 68 and look for a Tempest
