Default motor mounts

i got a 1980 transam am trying to switch from factory rubber mounts to the butler solid mounts mounts and motor not lining up any recommendations would truly be appreciated thanks

I know what you mean. I had the same problem. You have to just keep messing with them. I got a bolt started in one side and then with a screw driver I wiggled it around in the other mount until I got it to the point where I was able to get the other bolt started. Do you have the bolts that are pointed on the end? If you don't , that's part of the problem . The point helps locate it in... Once you get the point in there , you can tap it lightly with a mallet until its close enough to get the thread engaged and started ..

Leave the mount to block bolts good and loose until you get the long bolt started !
