Thanks, went for the bare gloss black factory steel wheels and wide whites just a few weeks ago and digging the vibe. The wide whites are the focal point, standing out against the black wheels, drums and lug bolts.

In the parking lot at Home Depot with my little friend picking up some lumber, this time with white factory steel wheels, chrome hubcaps and black walls.

No, it is not a real RAIV. It was born a RAIII automatic combination. Short story is the original owner was a 17 yr. old senior in high school. He raced it and blew up the bottom end of the RAIII within the warranty period. A service replacement block (still in car) was put in. It is a 4-bolt main RA block. The car was sold to the person I bought the car from in March, 2015.

I purchased the car in February, 2016. During the period the second owner had the car it was changed over to a 4 speed. The engine was rebuilt and RAIV heads were put on.

After I purchased the car, with less than 100 miles on the rebuild, the engine was pulled and had to be rebuilt. Let’s just say corners were cut and the parts used were cheap.

What I have now is really as close to the stillborn LS1 Super Duty Ram Air that I can get. The big item that is missing is a RAV block. However, I have the next best thing which is a service replacement RA block. The rotating assembly is completely forged. The engine has a .30 overbore and we added a 427 stroker kit. Equals 433CID

Last item is the 4 speed was nothing more than a core. Replaced it with a T-56.

Anyone into trains? I like the old trolley cars and steam trains and have been to many museums and ridden both. My younger brother owns 2 railroads, one is a small commercial railroad, the other a tourist type railroad. When I visit, I hang with him at the railroad and get to ride or sometimes run the assorted trains. He has a pretty good collection as he constantly upgrades as his business continues to grow from what he started with.

He has 4 of the former Ringling Bros passenger cars, an self propelled inspection car, a small switcher engine, then the big 2,000HP engine, a 1949 1,200HP engine, a 1945 Navy 80-ton center cab, and he has added another I think 1,500HP engine. His tourist train uses a 40-ton center cab, but he recently bought another Army 80-ton center cab to replace it, and he has 2 1956 Budd self propelled passenger cars.
