Default 930 hp as cast Super Wedge

Cut and pasted from Facebook.

This is the first testing of the NEW KRE Super Wedge Pontiac cylinder heads. This engine is a 541 cid with a 50 mm cam, STOCK / AS CAST KRE Super Wedge Heads with a 1150 Dominator. This engine made 926.8 HP at 6900 rpm and 777.4 ft lbs of torque at 5300 rpm. The dual 4 (1050 dominator carbs) combo made 937.8 HP at 7000 rpm and 785.9 ft lbs of torque at 5800 rpm.

927 HP seems quite high for 6900 RPM.

6900 RPM seems quite low for 927 HP.

It's interesting it only picked up 11hp with tunnel and 2 carbs, and peak hp rpm only went up 100rpm but peak tq rpm went up 500rpm

The heads sound like a really good opportunity for some builders.

Mark,
Why not? A 541 ci @ 6900 RPM @ 100 VE @ 12.75:1 and 930 HP would have a BSFC of .417. If CF =1.00

Maybe Alex or someone can give some more information on this pull.

Been waiting for this. Marcella need to get his hands on a set. High Ports started out @ 330cfm. Took them to just shy of 460fm. E heads start @ 280cfm, took them to 414 cfm. These start out @ 400 cfm, you do the math.
All the most impressive numbers come from same guy. Ain't bragging if its true.

But for all the rap KRE takes, this just proves they have brought to the marketplace more real Pontiac performance parts than anyone. And that was true before the Super Wedge.
Sure do have some long valves and some real long pushrods though.

450+cfm from a HP head is nothing new.
It would be cool to see what Marcella could with these Super Wedge heads.

Are making excuses for KRE, why did KRE post if not their best ' mule ' engine????? 'One' of the things that bothered me about Jeff is, when he said to me, I can't get anymore out of these HP heads. So I suggested sending the heads out to a head specialist and see if they could get anymore out of the HPs, his answer was always NO. If KRE has a block or a set of their heads that run fast in someone's race car does it not STILL make KRE look good???
John, since you are the KRE know it all and I guess their mouth piece, well you and ken, WHO has the fastest NA door car with KREs HPs ?????
I did not post to crap on KRE because I went really fast with their MR1 alum. block ( thanks Bill Mellott ) and their HPs. Every other block and head manufacture gets more sales when someone goes fast with their products no matter who massages these products.
All us Pontiac guys have to thank all the Pontiac manufactures like, DCI, All Pontiac, Visner, KRE, for continuously giving us the products to SMOKE the chubbies guys.

If this head is as reliable as the hp has been it will be a winner

Give a HP head casting to Dave B at SD performance and it will flow great and make great power. Long history record there with Dave's work.

Sure that a Super Wedge Head ported by Dave B (or John Marcella, or Jim Robertson, will also make great power.

I read the article, besides you and a couple of other guys, who believes anything that comes out of KRE. Why do you always answer for jeff and or KRE if you have only talked to him once in the past 5 years. You have commented a lot more than once in the past five years about jeff and KRE threads/posts and you make it sound like you know what is going on at KRE!!!!
JOHN you did not answer the question John, WHO HAS THE FASTEST NA DOOR CAR WITH HP HEADS?????
For your information John, you lame brain, thanks for bringing up my sponsorships, after what jeff and KRE did to me, my sponsor was and always will be Maurizio Campolucci. So John anytime you want to spend $250,000.00 to show case someone's or some company's motor, let me know because I will come to Norwalk even without my car. And John after you dream of spending that kind of money, lets see how long it takes you to recover. What do you have a dragster that runs 11 seconds and when where you last at Norwalk????
Way to start chit John. If you could read yourself not only in pig language you would have read in my first post that I thanked KRE twice.
ANSWER THE QUESTION John!!!
