Wow...that is a beautiful '68. It's in the area but I've never seen it out and about or at any shows.
It looks very similar to a car that was on the cover of HPP some years ago. I believe that THAT car had been previously owned by someone on this site.

at first glance, the price seems pretty reasonable. nice color combination with 4spd and air.

I have been attempting to contact for nearly 2 weeks ... no reply and its still active.. frustrating .. for years I have told myself I would get another GTO my first 2 Pontiacs were 1966 stick and 1968 auto GTOs back in late 70`s ... got to be a 4 speed this time as I have had mostly automatic Formulas since

definitely frustrating when you're interested in an advertised car, but you can't reach the seller - like they don't even care if they sell or not. brings to mind the ol' "honey, i have it listed! that's all i can do." scenario. looks extremely nice and you won't run into a twin of that one at every car show.

That 1968 HPP cover car was mine,. I sold it in 2011 and it went to Australia. Motor detail was done by the Glascos. Man , I miss that car. Original color however, was beige.

I will say this about the one on Craigslist. At 38k, being a 4speed with air, with 53kmiles and correct colors, its on the money.I see why you like it. My old car was previously owned and restored by Mark Amonti from Rhode Island, and was advised by Quint Stilles. Mark was a great guy to discuss the car with , and helped me out considerably after the 40k 2007 purchase.

I think it's safe to say the ad is a scam. No phone number or real email address. Plus its under priced for the condition and pedigree. Seen ads like this too many times.

There's no way that ad is a scam. That not under priced in my opinion. Remember it is a 68. Get into the 40's and were talking 69-70 cars. Any higher and then that's Judge money. Nice car though. Sometimes craigslist replys go to spam box.

The car is listed here too: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...o/1925870.html

Maybe you'll have better luck contacting them through Hemmings?

I've been having the same problem, different car. Seller out of Texas has had a car on Craigslist there and now on Ebay. I responded to his Craigslist ad: not response from him. I've responded twice to his Ebay ad; again no response to either of those requests. Why do some folks go to the trouble to place these ads and then not respond to buyer's questions? He's had no bids on the car on Ebay. Do they think someone is just going to Pay pal them the money?

No expert here but for a '68, that's good money and I'd say it's worth just about what they're asking. Beautiful car.
That's the wrong shifter and I'm wondering why the change if it has the original Muncie as claimed?

On the pass side the frame took a bit of upward force near center like it gracefully launched over something then landed hard on the frame or some jacking incident.,. One thing I wanted to ask was for more pics thanks for the hemmings link

I looked at a project car that was similarly equipped back in 2001 a little east of Dallas. Car was Alpine Blue (very similar to Meridian Turquoise) with a white interior and was loaded to the hilt. A/C, hideaways, dual gate AT...All original car. The rust you see was just light surface rust - was a dry Texas car. Owner wanted $4k, which I thought was too much back then. Ah, to go back in time...

After having the motor detailed by the Glasscos, I took the car to Norwalk and took a 2nd Place in 68-69 GTO. Who beat me? The Glasscos in their 69 Black with red gut . Go figure!
