So I bought a new side mirror from Firebird Central. LIttle round chrome deal. Looks good. Comes with backet and hardware. There are screw holes for it in my door. But my driver door also has a large hole about the size of a quarter that this mirror will not cover up. So something isnt right. Is this a camaro part not actually meant for our cars? Do I have a power mirror option or something that Im not aware of?
Also I ordered a new speedo cable. Supposedly correct for a 67 with th400. Connectors fit. But wow is this thing long. I ran it out of the specified hole. You end up with a ton of slack. What is the correct routing for this thing to keep it away from the exhaust? Does is come down the frame rail and then along the crossmember?

From what I've seen before with those cars, looks like your door is from a car that originally had a remote control mirror.

Yup, Frankyboy is correct. I have a pair of doors. One with the remote and one without. The one with the remote had the larger hole.

More money it seems is always the answer.....
Anyone know how to route the speedo cable? Or if it's supposed to be that long?

Revisiting this slighly. So I was incorrect when I first looked at it. The side mirror DOES cover the big hole. But it still leaves a small hole maybe 1/4 inch in diameter aft oif the mirror. Aft meaning towards the rear of the car. Are we still thinking that means the door is for a remote mirror? Is there something else that goes there? A trim piece or something I'm not aware of?
