conv top dilema
Putting my new top rail seals on my 66 2+2 tonight. Driver side went on and seemed ok. Put on the passenger side and the header end was way too long. So I measured both top seals and they were the same. Then I measured the first section from the front edge to the joint. There is a half inch difference. Is the header bow adjustable where the latches attach?
The other item was that the first rail seal section is longer than the original. Do you cut it on the big rubber end or cut it on the other end and drill new holes ?

66 convert top
There was 2 different widths on the header. When i bought my top for my 66 they asked when my car was built. Later built cars went to a different width. If my memory serves me right it was either a half or a full inch wider header from side to side

The issue is not width. It is length from the header to the first hinge. I looked at an exploded view of a top assembly and I see it has slotted holes. Don't know if that can be adjusted without doing a new top. I've decided to take it to a top installer to install new seals.
