I know some of these guys here and elsewhere do MAGIC on recreating and metal wizardry. I find it fascinating to read on. But a restored car can be anything from tidy up and paint everything to the other extreme of this stuff. Rust gets everywhere and in channels and in hidden stuff and in seams and the extreme cars just freak me out.

When I bought my car, I had X cash. I could have bought a rust repaired and redone Formula 400 with unknown totality of repairs and over 100K miles on car. That was what I could afford in the Formula world. Not enough $ for survivor nice Formy's which are rare. So I came across a rust free, original paint, lo-po, low mile bird that was optioned like I like. So I paid more than any regular bird really went for, for structural virginity. At a loss of macho caliber of car. It was a tough pill, but I look on these agony projects and am really glad it is not me. But I admire those that do.

I'd much rather have a virgin than a rape victim with makeup. The rape victim will always have issues...some deeper than others...and some show up later than others..
