Doug, this is a 4 cyl. tach that needs refurbishing. I have done some cleaning on it. It is 4 cyl. only from Sun. Check the pic of the back of the housing.

Smile tachs

I couldn't tell from your pics if it was similar to an old Dixco tach that could easily be changed from 8 to 6cyl.

Thanks!

I believe I will be able to find the build sheet from the machine shop but will list a few things that were done to the motor.

30 over
Egge pistons
New water pump / RARE
Mild street cam / Comp cams (will find cam card as well
New oil pump
Point ignition
Triple angle valve job
Rebuilt heads

No alt or carb

The only reason I am selling is moving up to a 455. And know it would just sit on a stand for years and not do anything with it.

I am located in Ontario Canada but could ship from Niagara Falls NY or possibly meet.

$2000 o.b.o.

Thanks for looking,

Default 1963 Lemans in Dash Factory Tach

For sale one original 1963 Tempest or Lemans Tach. Very clean. Meter is fine; electrical circuit has an issue. I am going to take it apart and repair. Since these tachometers have a sealed circuit board I am going to remake the circuit package.

As buyer wishes I can rebuild this to work on either a 4 cyl or a V8 engine. It works off of the stock distributor (points only). You much have the original distributor in your engine with points for this to work.

A 4 cyl tachometer for a '63 Tempest is very rare; I have only seen 2 in my lifetime.

Price is $495

I have some parts that I know I will no longer need so I'm just wondering how much interest there is. I have a 3 speed tranny, torque tube with shaft intact, 3 speed shifter complete, clutch/brake pedal assembly with clutch linkage, complete front engine cradle with steering and brake components. There are fined drums on that. Everything is from a V8 car. Shoot me a PM.

Default '63 326HO Transaxle and torqutube with shaft.

I bought this with the '63 326HO engine with the intention of using it, but I've changed plans. It's just sitting here in the way. Make an offer. Located at 99336.

Sun tach for 4 cyl. I was going to have this refurbished and use it in my '63 Coupe, but I'm changing directions on the car and will be going with a V8. Can't remember if I've listed it here or not. Make me an offer.
