Default Anyone watching Little League World Series?

It's being televised on ESPN out of Williamsport, Pa. Tonight the Southeast team won 6-0 with very strong pitchers. First no-hitter since 2008. I'm proud to say they are out of Greenville, N.C. and happy that I could help them as a financial supporter.

I'm watching it too. Those 10-12YO boys can play some ball at that level! This includes pitching, hitting and fielding. It reminds me of my youth and LL...but that was too long ago to specify. BTW, we didn't have unis and most parents didn't bother to show up. LOL!

Texas team is from Lufkin where we just moved from 2 years ago. Collin Ross is one heck of a pitcher and can hit. Lots of talent on this team.

I just love watching these kids play, these kids are on a different level compared to other kids in that age group. My grandson is 10 years old and plays on a competitive team here in KC, and he got scouted to go to Orlando, Florida for week long baseball camp called the Select30 Super Nit Series, sponsored by the USSSA. He just got back last week, and he was one of the 30 all stars selected from about 170 participants at the camp. They took the top 30 and split them into 2 teams of 15, and they played an all star game. What an experience for him, and my son who is his coach, He also got a huge ring for making the top 30.

Cool deal. My old Little League team (Red Land) was the U.S. Champs in 2015. I wish we were as good as they were. We only made it State Semi-finals when I played.

Well, I'm happy to report that they backed it up today with another no-hitter (16-0), the first time a U.S. team has had consecutive no-hitters in the World Series.

Looks like my old home town (Lufkin Tx) vs N.C. Should be a great matchup

I really enjoyed coaching little league for 5 seasons, winning two regional championships in that time. As I get closer to retirement, I'd like to pick it up again. It was just as rewarding for me as it was for the players. You're right about these kids being on a different level. It's easy to see that a lot of them will continue on to be quite successful in their lives, whether they pursue sports or not.

Watch it all the time. Best Baseball on television. I grew up in the Williamsport area. Our next door neighbor was the head of promotions for Little League. He use to set me and my friends up with a locals dairy. We sold lemonade in the stands,so we could watch the games and make a little money to buy a hot dog and some peanuts. They would fill a galvanized milk crate, with a thin leather strap, full of ice and lemonade. That leather strap would cut a groove in your neck by the end of the game. I think we got 2.5 -3.0 cent per lemonade so you had to hustle if you wanted to make some money. That was back in the mid 60,s so a hot dog was maybe a quarter !! I you have never been there, and have kids that play baseball, you should add it to your bucket list. The have an amazing complex for the kids.

dominant pitching by SE's reliever & SW's starter.

46 ft mound, wide & Tall zones, near 6 ft tall 13 y/o dominant pitchers, should one expect anything different?

Greenville's reliever did his job well, interesting to see which team they face next.

Texas team pulls it out. What a game. Those NC boys were tough. Great job. Now to see if Lufkin can win against Japan tomorrow.
