Stan, I consider some real racers, and others keyboard racers. Guess where you fit.
I am very impressed on the effort Jason puts into drag racing.

Dragnacr,
Clearly you think that your opinions matter to me.

They don't.

Turbo car -- 5 rounds at Sonoma National averaged a .008 lite if I remember and typical 60 foot was in the 1.03 to 1.05 range -- My crew chief Program estimates over 2000 HP based on the air and weight -- just remember, if your slow off the line and still have the mph and the ET - it must be making power at the top end -

I'd believe 2,000hp plus all day! Your car rocked!

Understand Perfectly (as it is a turbo discussion about very fast cars) not bracket racer
Roots supercharged play toys driven by old dudes.

Some of the Procharger cars in the right vehicles (Mustang) have been quick too and made good mph (200+).

John Mahovitz is the king though with his 5.70-5.80 ets at well over 200 mph.

Mr Geise was doing great with his Pontiac deal.

Curt,
Unlike those simple formula calculators these calculations have a number of inputs. So there is much more change for GIGO. I do not know what Crew Chief has for inputs. Here are some of my inputs and what I used.

BP = 29.92
RH = 0%
Temp =60
CD =.3
Frontal Area = 16 sq ft
Hood Scoop = Yes / 100%

If you can give me what any of those are that you used in Crew Chief I can rerun my calculation.

Thanks,
Stan

Wait, wait a minute, who is talking about "opinions". I inferred that you were a keyboard racer. You are a keyboard racer, now that is a fact.

I guess you don't watch the show...chief has some perfect reaction times off the flashlight so that is not an issue. He also tree'd Richard Rawlings pro driver at the track in the hemi monster...thing is a pro-tree is predictable to a point...flashlight isn't...

I understand the slower car winning on RT deal very well, have done it a bunch since I began racing in the late 70's...

I was watching on You Tube a big street heads up race with Chief and he was getting his A$$ handed to him a few times on the flashlight, can't remember what race but it was recent. Not trying to knock him just stating what I saw.
Chief is one of us racers that are trading in his e-heads to go quicker!

No I do not own a race car.

The last time I made a pass at the track was almost 10 years ago.

Most of the racer I know would have problems at the track without their computer.

At what tracks did you race at in the 60's and 70's?

Now if only these T-shirt still fit.

But if some clown owns a race car that has just been sitting in the garage for years and years he would still be a racer.

In the 60s I my tricycle could run a 20 minute 1/4 mile if I got a good hole shot.
70s my Stingray could have done it in 3-4 minutes.
I thought they started that "participant" stuff recently. You know, where they give you a participant T shirt or plaque in lieu of a first or second place trophy.

I hope he likes the new heads when he switches but 3 second 1/8th miles are going to be hard to improve upon and he might should just keep the E's laying around the shop in case he decides he wants to go fast again...

Even if he doesn't hold onto his old Eheads he can always order another pair from Butler for around 3k. I believe JB has them in stock. Not a bad deal.....3k for a three second head.
