Dash gauges wonky? More like they light up like a Christmass tree - you know, cause the head gasket.

Aztecs are getting popular with millennials.

Ugly or not, I haven't met anyone who owned one who didn't really like it. GM really hurt the Aztec when they forced Pontiac to change the platform from the concept vehicle which had been very well received. The platform change made it tall and ungainly instead of the squat concept vehicle with a better looking front end. Then they gave Buick the platform and Buick made a better looking vehicle to compete with the original. Pontiac got the blame for the ugliness when they had no choice if they were going to recoup the investment they had made and the Buick came along when Pontiac was already committed.

The Aztec was a brilliant concept and started the whole SUV craze. Pontiac made the snowballs, GM put them in the freezer and forced Pontiac to throw them.

Since the eighties, GM let Pontiac design vehicles and then shared them with the rest of the GM family so that Pontiac competed with their own designs.

Don't forget Pontiac's 1988 6000 STE AWD, that was probably the vehicle that led to the Aztec system being designed. Pontiac sank a lot of money into AWD.

That is a well done car.

They pretty much don't exist anymore too.

I called a guy about one maybe five years ago. He did a targa to the roof, so I passed on it. He did have it rwd converted with a Chevy though.

I'm sure the poor lighting hides the peeling paint, you can see it on the windshield header.

There's a major-league dingbat who tries (unsuccessfully) to sell cars on this site based largely on what he was "told".
