Default Nice Looking 73 Exprit Cloned to A Formula 400 on Ebay

Seller says he’s selling for original owner. Highly documented history. Looks like a very well-kept car. Love the color combo...duh, look at my car! I would add the vinyl accent stripes. Anyone know this car?

Sorry for the incorrect spelling of Esprit! Fat fingers...arrrgh!

newer carb and repop bases need to be "clocked" , or slide the hole into a slot and put a cushion there.

Non functional hood(still blocked) with functional air cleaner/boots/rings... I don't get it.

With the boots hanging off the side of the air cleaner intakes, it sucks in plenty of HOT air, just like those who put cheap chrome air cleaners on their cars instead of the factory ones ( 73 on up) that took COOL air from outside, including the fender.

Spoke to the new owner of this car earlier this week and he was not happy with it. Well fluffed above but the underside looked like a completely different car.

Not that surprised. The whole “story”/description sounds like utter bs. “Yeah he wantlwd the zl1 chevette but couldn’t order it so he bought the sl Chevette and put in TONS of upgrades, Has all of the receipts but strangely you cannot see any of these upgrades in the pictures. They’re all hidden”
Let the buyer beware.
Still 18 grand doesn’t seem that out of line for a driver. Hope it works out for him.

The clue was the claim he got an Esprit because he needed the leather seats. Huh?

I have seen quite a few people talk about a 2nd Gen Firebird having "Leather Seats" . I wondered if I had it wrong - and maybe there was some hidden option for Leather Seats on a 2nd Gen Firebird (other than 10th anniversary).. But, usually the people making the claim are not too car savvy. Most other things they say - I'm a bit skeptical.

i also did not see any evidence of a great amount of upgrades, but a car with 59k on the clock and garage kept and meticulous about the type of fuel used etc should not have underside issues. either buyer has unrealistic expectations or car falsely advertised somehow.
