I was shocked when I heard he'd been taken to the hospital al little over two weeks ago. Seemed like he'd just been up to my place, though it was actually the end of October. He'd come up from MD to help a friend who was purchasing my Bonneville wagon. Ironically, the first time I met Wayne I was looking at a wagon he was selling. That was around 15 years ago, or so. In the ensuing years I'd seen him at many Pontiac events, always had a nice conversation when we bumped into each other. Definitely one of the Pontiac good guys. He will be missed for sure.

I met Wayne in the late 80’s outside Carlisle swap meet selling Pontiac parts. I bought some GTO parts from him. We made good friends right away and I found out he also lived in MD. I always enjoyed my conversations with Wayne all through the years at the local Pontiac events. He had so much knowledge about our GTO’s and taught me a few things along the way. A few of us Pontiac guys had dinner with Wayne at Ocean City Cruise this past fall, little did I know that would be the last time I would see Wayne. I will miss him very much. RIP Wayne.

I met Wayne a few years back, when my motor blew at the track in MD. He graciously gave me a old card he had with contact info and would check if he had a spare 400 pre 74 short block. It turns out he did and we met a Capital Raceway a month or so later where he sold that to me at a reasonable price and was nice enough to haul it there with him. I am driving that motor around today in my 73 Bird. I also saw him a few months ago a Burdette's All Pontiac show with his ride..he seemed fine at the time. Good Dude.

Wayne was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.

I’ve know him over 20 years and he was always very fair on selling me parts.
When I saw him on December 26, he gave me two parts for free for my 65 GTO project car.

That’s just the way he was, just a cool dude who loved Pontiacs.

RIP
