Back in 1990, I installed 4 door weatherstrips i purchased from Year One. I believe they were Soffseal. They are on my 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom wagon. They are a bit dried out, (28 years old), so I am looking to replace them again. I want the best I can get, fit, function, appearance, ease of door closing. Which brands are you all using? Soffseal, Metro, and Steele Rubber products all make the 1964-67 GM "A" body station wagon seals. Thanks for your input.

Not on Pontiacs, but I've had good luck with Steele Rubber Company.

Winter of 2016 I installed Metro Supersoft weathersprips. They installed easily and after a year they look great and the doors close well (still a bit more push needed than the old ones, to be expected). Because I installed them in the winter, the doors were very difficult to close. But after sitting closed all winter, in the warmer spring/summer they worked out great. As a side note, for the weatherstrips that attach to the door - at the ends where the molding is large, I added some contact cement and taped them down so they wouldn't push out. That worked out great.

I used super soft from metro. I'm very happy with them. If I remember how to post a picture I'll post the packing image

I am curious about this too. I would like to buy them from Ames if i can find some experiences with them. Curious who manufactures Ames weatherstipping.

I've used Metro, Soffseal, and Steele Rubber on a half dozen cars. Steele Rubber is the only vendor I'll buy from if it's available through them. Metro was too hard and Soffseal disintegrated within a few years of regular use.

I think I paid 58 dollars for my Metro super soft that was both doors ( post ) and a trunk seal.
