My 69 Firebird came with factory disc brakes up front and they were replaced with this kit from Wilwood:
http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...no=140-10996-D My bearings have failed and I need to buy a set. Does Wilwood engineer their product to utilize the factory inner/outter bearings I can just get from any auto parts store? Thanks!

the Wilwoods I have use factory bearings. I do think the second gens can use a hybrid outer bearing so just one hub since the factory changed the outer about 78.

If you follow that link you posted, at the bottom of the page click on the blue part number for the hub. Follow that to the bottom of the page. The wildwood bearing and race part numbers are listed. They can easily be cross referenced, or they are available as wildwood parts from Amazon, Jegs, or Summit.

Timken split their bearing and steel divisions into two separate companies recently. They still make very pure high quality steel in Canton,Oh, but much of their bearing manufacturing has been moved overseas. There are also a lot of counterfeit Timken bearings floating around out there made mostly in China. These days it hard to tell what you’re getting anymore.
