Can some post pics of what an original 69 fan and fan clutch for an A/C car should look like?

No one out there had the original fan blades or clutch on a 69 GTO? Still looking for some pics of them and w/A/C if that makes a difference..,

There's a lot of dispute out there about colors. many examples of natural aluminum blades on a black frame, others with definitely original all black painted. I researched this a few years ago and couldn't really lock down much between the 6134 fans with date codes on every blade vs what I think are 6372 fans that don't have date or part number call outs on them. This fan came off a 69 GTO with AC that I had back in the 80's that was a very original virgin car. Possibly just an issue with multiple manufacturers. There's two styles of rivet patterns, the dated 6134 fans have a square 4 rivet pattern, and what I THINK is a 6372 fan with two rivets horizontal and two vertical above it with depressions in the fan blades. Then there's the blades with the rounded tips vs the squared off tips.

Anyways, I don't think you're ever going to find agreement on what's correct.

The original 68 W/AC I just installed on my 68 was black/black. Not sure how much that helps on a 69.

I see a seven blade 69 ... but looks silver/black ... but then you would have to see the other side, lots of time the paint got blasted off one side over the years.

Scott ... do you know if the 68's were all black? On my GTO I am using fan and clutch off at 68 Lemans that had V8/AC ... was all black. Were they all that way in 68, or were they seen both ways?

Here's a picture I pulled off of ebay awhile back of an NOS 6372, same exact fan I had on my 69, 71 and 74. Painted all black and rivet pattern is also identical to my 67, where the only difference is the square edge instead of the round edge.

My 74 MPC shows 6372 as the replacement for 68-72 and I understand that things get superseded. My problem is that I've seen 6314's dated up through 74 so if they were still making 6314 by then, why are so many examples of 6372 from earlier years?

Friend's 68 also has the "6372" on it but he'd already painted it because the aluminum fins had corrosion on them that wouldn't polish off. He insists there was no evidence of paint on his like my 69 had.

I still say there's too many examples of non 6314 cars to say every car had one.

I'll add my pics. Blades look like they had black paint on them once. It is not the '6134, unless it changed in Nov. '68 to Dec. 68 (L68 pictured earlier). Blade to blade measured 19-1/2". Hub length was 1-1/2".

I used the 6134 clutch fan on my NON AC 69. And yes, you could order option code KO2 (7 blade clutch fan) on any V8 that year, it was only standard on the AC cars. I didn't see any old black on my blades, so I left them natural. Clutch itself is aftermarket
