Default Remove dust off of freshly painted hood?

Folks I have a '67 GTO hood that was painted 3 years ago that has not yet been installed back onto the car. It has never been waxed, it was painted and stored without cover and has accumulated a lot of dust. What process do you suggest for cleaning?

Thx,
RG

3 years is not "fresh". Just wash it. I use liquid Palmolive dish soap on all my vehicles regardless of the color. Have been for decades. The heavy sudsing lifts dirt off the finish and rinses away.

I've got a couple of cars that fit that description and I use Griot's Spray On Car Wash. Spray it on and wipe it off with the super soft rags you can get at O'Reilly's, etc. If it is BC/CC the paint is so hard you won't scratch it.

Pre soak with water to remove as much dust as you can. The more that you remove with just the hose the less scratching to take place when you put the soap and water to it. Depending upon how abrasive the dust is that is still on it will determine if you need to buff it out.

X2 TY I wanted to post that. As an extension you can soap soak before scrub also. I guess sadly I have had very dusty car experience.
