Default 68 Vert window "bit"

Hi there,

I'm hoping that you guys can help me identify a name for this part, and more importantly i need to find a repop pair if available. I have had no luck so far. Surely someone makes them?

Its the very top part of the vent window, attached with a single screw

I could be wrong, but I think that piece is now commonly "made into" the rest of the weatherstrip piece rather than being a stand alone part.

My original is actually three pieces. A hard wider channel where it would be below the top of the door, then a felt channel from there to the top & then the little rubber insert you pictures. My repop is one piece all the way through made by metro.

I really can't give you an opinion on how well it fits as I haven't gotten to that point yet. I sent the front edge of the windows out for re-chroming & haven't put any of it back together.

Should be this one:

https://metrommp.com/?f=detail&Model...TIAC&Model=GTO

They do have a bit of a different look to them, & I am no sure what other brands are out there for comparison.

I got the ones from AMES, they were one piece and fit perfectly. It was a wrestling match putting it all back together though.

So for info for any others looking the part i ordered was from AMES, part # F239B. Which as it turns out is from Metro as 68 Ragtop suggested. It is their part #VR2011. per the pics below.

Let us know how the install goes & maybe a few picts? it will be awhile before I install mine, so I am curious what to expect. I have been wondering if I would keep the hard section of the channel in place & cut the new one to fit, or install the entire channel. had to be a reason pontiac used the separate parts originally? Sorry I didn't have the Ames part number, I figured that's where it came from but I have had these on the shelf for a pretty long time & I wasn't certain where I got them. I have so many parts like that ready to go, but am waiting until I have 99% of everything restored before I start putting the car together.
