Default Video of my 7.75 @ 178 pass at Pontiac Heaven

Here's a link to a video taken by Jack Johnson. He introduced himself to me later that day and offered to copy the video for me. Great guy and he owns several Pontiacs! Paul Carter of Koerner Racing Engines put the video up on U-Tube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iez3...ature=youtu.be

This was my first pass off the Trailer on Friday, running one to one on the blower. I found out later looking at the Racepak data that I was on the upper rev limiter for almost a second at the end of the pass.

Spun some? That thing left 100’ of rubber on a prepped track with steam roller tires!

The fact that I lined up a little crooked didn't help, either.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything.

Thought (hoped) it was an optical illusion.

Did a very nice job EVEN with the 11:00 start (vs 12:00) start and the 100 feet of rubber demonstration. Still ran a great time at less than ideal air. Congratulations. Obviously the car is capable of even quicker times. Keep after it.

I don't know who it was--probably not Pontiac-powered. Friday TNT was open to all older cars. I was in "getting set to make a pass mode" and didn't see the tire smoke at half-track on his pass.

Well, that made my day. Woke up to 2" of snow in Southern Ohio! Clicking on that video, melted it away. Certainly a 7.70 or better run with a straighter launch. Car looks, sounds, and runs great.

There is more in it. Sounds great.
I have not been around big centrifugal cars. Do they have that 'blower surge" like roots cars do ?
