Default Roller cam identification help

Hay gentleman. A few months ago i bought a 455 engine off craigslist. The seller didnt know much about it but i took a look and it seamed to look decent so i took a chance and bought it for $2500. Now im going over it and trying to see what it’s got. Looks like .30 over speed pro pistons. Pistons are numbered in the skirts so looks like they were ballanced. Stock rods with arp bolts and stock crank. Heads are 7K3 with crane roller rockers and hardened pushrods. Everything looks decent and just rebuilt but the nice thing is it has a crane roller cam. The csm does look used cause of the wear pattern from the lifters. I took the cam out try and find out which cam it is but cant find a match on cranes website. Hopefully one of you guys can help. The markings on the back if the cam are R-232335-2-12 and on the bottom is B-61800 or B-01800 can’t tell if its a 6 or a 0. I should of taken a photo of it but i aready put everything back together. If some one can tell me which cam this is I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

The "R" in front of the group of numbers is the reason I asked. My old Crane catalog with the listings that begin with the "R" are stated "Roller Camshafts for Racing Applications", but none are listed with a 112 lobe separation which I suspect is the last number within your group. But that's just a hunch.

And my comments were based on looking only within the "Pontiac" section of my old catalog.

This might be a dumb question but would i be able to run hydraulic lifter with this cam. This is going to be a street car to use daily so i dont want solid lifters. Or do i need a new cam and lifters.

So this cam is a 232/232 and 335x1.52=509 lift on a 112 LSA. Thank you TA Man. Dam I reslly dont want to run a solid cam for my daily driver.

I know the intake duration is 232..I'd guess the exhaust isn't that..most likely in the 240's...

232 degrees is a very small solid roller cam, especially for a 455 engine.

About 28 years ago my original RAIII 400 engine had a COMP Magnum 280H hyd flat tappet cam installed with 230 at .050". We changed to a Crower 60450 solid roller cam with 233 at .050", no major changes were made to the engine except the cam. With the change there was no significant improvement on the track, that said the driveability was a tad bit better. The cost of the upgrade was a hard lesson learned.... the solid roller needed more duration. At least a minimum of 6 additional degrees duration depending on the lobe family involved.

I yanked that small solid roller cam out and went bigger. That small solid roller cam was passed on to a friend and it went into another street application. I know it was in there for over 10,000+ miles.
