I was able to buy OEM refills for my 2016 Challenger ...... at the Lexus dealer. Not at the Dodge dealer though and couldn't find them in Anco either.

frankly, i had no idea that newer blades were able to have the inserts replaced!?

Wiper blades, refills included, are not the same as they were before the year 2000 for any brand. The rubber isn't any good these days and they don't last very long. It seems I can't use the newer ones for much longer than 6 months, and then they need to be changed.

FYI, NAPA is in the process right now of switching from ANCO back to TRICO again. They seem to do this about every 2-3 years. Reason for mentioning is Rock Auto always seems to get all the old stock when they make the change and they sell them as manufacturers overstock. I bought about 50 sets of various NAPA branded blades for $2.00 each a few years ago. Look for this happen again soon. This was for complete metal blade assemblies. As mentioned, you can often remove the inserts and use them on your old arms if you prefer. Great deal.

On my Challenger the insert is the same as a 2005 Highlander. A Toyota parts manager who owned a Challenger discovered it, they're both marked NWB which stands for Nippon Wiper Blade. I tried Trico blades and the OEM's are better.

FWIW, manufacturers recommend changing wipers twice a year. I've had customers complain that their wipers only lasted 2-3 years! You should see the ones that come in here with rusty wiper frames.
Even if you don't use them, they still deteriorate. The ones on my LeMans were actually stuck to the glass from non-use. I just had an idea though. What if someone invented "Wiper Booties"? A small bag that covers the wipers when not in use so they don't dry out from exposure. Any takers???

Yesterday, I bought the last pair of 15" Trico brand refills at my local Car Quest "Advance" store for my 1972 Chevrolet truck for a whopping $5.75 a pair. They said no more after this. The last pair on this truck lasted 7 years. I checked for the 16" and 18" sizes for my other vintage GM cars, and they were already gone. I guess internet sales for them going forward.
