Default EZ GO golf cart issue

Bought my FIL an older EZ GO a few years ago. Probably a mid 80's model, 2 cycle. The drive clutch has always been noisy, but worked.
Now it goes in reverse, but barely pulls itself in forward. Any thoughts? It looks like the clutch comes out from underneath.

The drive system on those is like that on a snowmobile. When the drive belt is worn out they will do weird things. Try a new drive belt. Most times when you replace the drive belt you'll find a whole new amount of power. So much so it will feel like you rebuilt the motor.
