Funny thread; but I think Mary Ann should be awarded the semantics cup.

I still wonder when we stopped using distributors, and started using dizzys.

I do remember Dizzy Dean. And one of the funniest baseball stories in history!

Absolutely pet peeve (have not seen it on these threads) would be the ebay genius that is selling a Stromberg 94.

Jon.

I don't know how many times I've seen ads where they call the trunk the "truck". I've seen it too many times to believe that it's a typo. Also, when someone says that their car has bucket seats and a "counsel". Especially when they actually pronounce it like that. Like some kind of hillbilly.
Anyways, some days I don't give a care. Other days it irks me.

Needs restoration or needs restoring or requires restoration.

Any of the above is better than "Needs restored"

I hate when people word things like that. I see it all the time with items listed for sale.

Example: " I have a carburetor for sale, needs rebuilt. "

Stop and think about that for a second. Say it out loud if you need to. People don't talk like that, so why type like that?

Default Can't stand it!!

How about people who have the time to write "Low Miles" but don't give you the numbers. You should never have to ask for a price or the mileage! Give me the numbers and I will decide whether or not its low.

People bitchin about "off shore" products being crap all the time .......
I have imported more than my fair share of "off shore" products that were made in the good ol US of A that we're pure crap.
I totally get patriotism and pride in ones country and achievements, but this overiding sense of no one else can do it better than Merica, gets a little tiresome.
Especially when there are plenty of places that can.
People keep bitchin about off shore products ruining the local economy, but people keep buying them.....
Sometimes it just takes an outside observation to highlight the obvious .
Don't get me wrong, I have purchased plenty of great things from very talented people over there, just not everything.
