Default new head gaskets

Is it normal for head gasket to partially block oil galleys on a 1966 326 motor ?

A '66 326 block shouldn't have oil galleries to the heads. Are you referring to the oil drain backs?

Oil drainbacks are usually always partially covered. Why, IDK. They just are.
