Default 68 Tempest Custom seat covers

Does anyone make a correct cover for the rear seat? My trim code is 214.
Thanks.

If it's not a GTO/Lemans then you're out of luck. Your only options are to use a pre-made cover that doesn't match, from GTO/Lemans or any of the other GM A-body styles that might be deemed acceptable, or pay an upholstery shop to make one for you.

Strange the car has a new front bench cover that perfectly matches the rear seat in design and color. Previous owner said he did not do the rear seat at the time because it looked fine. It is now coming apart at the top seams where the sun bakes it. I see covers for Tempest Custom for 66 and 67 but not 68.

Thanks.

Post a pic of what you have, maybe the seats are not original to the car?

I know when I was looking for a front bench cover for my 68 Tempest wagon a few years back the only options were having one sewn up or a 50 year old used oem cover.

Member of the El Camino forum had a 68 El Camino with the factory applied Tempest interior. He found the fabric at SMS interiors out of Portland.

Good point. The front and rear seat match and look similar to the 67 style but has a horizontal rib. Attached a picture. I will also check with SMS.

Thanks.
