I purchased a lower windshield repair panel from Ames (part # G134K) to fix the rusted lower channel. When it arrived I noticed that it is actually made for a 64 - 67 Chevelle. This got me to thinking. If the lower windshield channel patch kit for a Chevelle will work on a GTO, is the same true of the dash top panel? My top dash panel is in bad shape and is going to require significant patches. These patches will have to be fabricated as a top dash panel patch kit is not made for the 65 GTO. But, a top dash panel patch is made for Chevelle's in this year range. I was thinking it would be ideal if I could cut off what was needed from the Chevelle part and graft it onto my GTO patch panel. Does any of this make sense to anyone reading this? Will it work?

The only Chevelle dash panels I am aware of are for 66-67 models- They are a lot different than a 64/65 Pontiac A-body's dash.
Maybe google some pics of them and do some comparing to see if the parts will patch the areas you're in need of.
