I need to know how the TH350 kick down cable attaches to the engine and carb on a 1969 LeMans with V8 and quadrajet. Part numbers of any brackets or pieces needed or a picture of a correct installation would be very helpful. Thanks, Jim

I think the factory set up for the 69 TH350 has a cable that comes thru the firewall then connects to the gas pedal. There's a special clip on the cable for adjustment.
You can get a later model cable/bracket set up & use that if you're not worried about originality. I think I have one off of a 71 that I can get a pic of tomorrow. |

I would like to see that. I have only worked with the TH400's so new to the cable kickdown. Just trying to use stock parts if possible. May be better to run the cable to the engine than thru the firewall especially if there is no hole there already?

Here's a few pics of a '71 set up I pulled from a Lemans at an LKQ recently. The cable is approx 40.5" long.
I'm not sure if '69 is the same or not, maybe someone that owns one can confirm it. |

I may go with the throttle pedal setup. Is that cable adjustable at all or a set length? Thanks for the informative pics.

There is some adjustment by moving the clip up or down the solid shaft section under the dash by the gas pedal.
