Default Fuel pump

I bought a new fuel pump . The new one has a longer canister, if that is the right word , than the one that came off , 350c.i Will it work ?

Yes. As long as you can still plumb it. The mechanical part is the same in the long can & short can style pumps. The long can just holds more gas.

But, some have a vapor return line fitting, some don't. The inlet & vapor return fittings point in different directions on some pumps.
