Default What plug wires for HEI and cast iron heads

Hey guys
Looking to replace my wires on the car
I currently run MSD with straight boots and 2 - 90 degree boots this was a universal kit I purchased a few years ago and built them
Currently I run the 2 90 degree boots due to steering shaft being so close....

Will 135 degree boots fit on all the plugs or do I still need to use a couple 90 degree boots.....still
Any suggestions to preference is welcome ....Chris

I've had good luck with the Napa Belden wires P/N 700255. I've had zero issues with these. They fit nice with a factory look over the back of the valve covers. Also come with a lifetime warranty. The ONLY thing I could say I don't like is they are dark blue, would prefer black..

I used these: MSD Ignition 31189 . Multi angle spark plug boots. Bend them to where you want them. 31193 similar in black w/gray boots.

I use 8mm Taylor Street Thunder wires on both of mine, with 135 degree boots on all.

I have the Taylor thundervolt wires with 135 boots. I cut and crimped them for a cleaner look.

Here here for the Taylor Thundervolts. I found that the lengths in the pre-cut Big Block Chevy set loom very nicely over the valve covers on a Pontiac and I agree that the 135* boots work great on Pontiac heads. They make the TV in the big, fat 10mm wire if you like that look and they also offer the 40 ohm resistance TV set in 8mm wire, which should fit stock looms if you like a more factory appearance.

The wires that Butler sell for Pontiacs on their site are a big block Chevy set. I use those but I had to buy and extra coil wire because I use the blaster 3 coil and the dual sync distributor. I would like to have the wires in black but I have to get them in red cause that’s the only way the coil wire comes

I use a 135 degree universal kit from Taylor and build my own. “Custom” sets just don’t fit.

Am I the only one that absolutely hates cutting and crimping plug wire???....anyone have an EASY way to feed the wire through the 90degree boots before and after you cut and crimp?

Irritates me to the point I just want ok fitting pre-cut wires from now on...

Custom cut and fit for the best routing and clean look is the way. Yes it is irritating....but a good smear if die electric grease and I always had them pop through. Just depends on how u bite your tongue..left or right.

Or use WD40 to lube the boot
