Pretty cool. I always liked the round birds.

I'd like to have this 'Bird. I see the eBay auction has ended. Must be because of the "lowball" bids. I just contacted them to find out.

Interesting car. Back window / liftgate appears to be from a Pinto...

I liked everything about it except the rear glass. It would have looked better to me if it lined up with the bottom of the side glass.

It could use some general freshening up, and the interior upholstery could stand to be updated from the 1980s mouse fur cloth they used, but overall it's a nifty car. The one thing that jumps out at me are the chunks of angle iron they used for mounting brackets for the rear hatch lift cylinders...I think they could have come up with a more elegant solution, or at the least round over the corners and paint them matte black so they don't stand out so much.

Also looks to have roof windows from a Vista Cruiser. I've always liked those. But I don't prefer the rear window.

Right there in the description when you open the link: "Scenic-Cruiser Roof from a 1965 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser station wagon has been mated to a 1962 Ford Thunderbird"

I emailed them to see if it was still available... and it is.

And no I can't have it... the Warden says so.

Is that back window even glass? How did they put the holes in it? Earlier pics show it without those awful lift supports. I would love to own that car and would add AC. All those windows make that bad boy a green house.

Whatever donor car they got it from had the holes in it from the factory, they would have been put in prior to it being tempered. Lots of rear lift glass panels are made that way.

With all the body work that was done, a power tailgate would have been cool.
Guess it wasn't an "option" that year ?
