Anybody heard of, or know anything about AHN motor mounts? Are these any good, or just more overseas crap?

I think they are made by https://anchor-online.com/about-us/
Anchor does some small scale manufacturing here, but the majority of their product is imported from China I believe. As is always the case, they don't go to China looking for a quality product, they go looking for something sellable and at the cheapest price possible. The Chinese manufacturer knows this and cuts every corner possible to get the price down to get the business. Then they cut more corners to increase their profit margin. FWIW.

ho428 - I ordered the Butler poly mounts for my 455 powered Lemans, and was considering using these for the Tempest with a lowly 400. We have these Anchor mounts and they look beefier than the other mounts we have (i.e. thicker steel stampings x2), but that may not mean much. We'll try them and keep an eye on any settling...and then buy more poly mounts from Butler.
wbnapier - You are most likely correct with the quality issue. We have a few sets of new mounts and the ones that have 'Korea' molded into the rubber portion have a really thin bent metal base (~.040")...not even half the thickness of the steel on the Anchor mounts in the pictures that appear to be stamped (~.100"). Thanks for the input! Dennis |

Those part numbers are Chinese. Those are the same mounts Mity uses for their Mity Mounts. They semi ground the number off the set I bought but it left a shadow.

I didn't see 455 size motor mounts in polyurethane...I guess there isn't enough demand to make them in the larger size. Dennis |

I also got the Anchor mounts from Korea and thought the metal was pretty thin for mounts.

I received my Butler Poly mounts and they are really nice looking and fine quality. The polyurethane seems to have a little 'give'...like hard rubber, and not as solid as I was expecting. I can see why they may control vibration like a rubber mount.

Are they any thinner than rubber mounts?

I don't know much about them, but another option that's out there is the Chassis Works mounts. Here's the data sheet.

No, they have heavy gauge steel that looks at least 0.100" thick and dimensionally match a new set of rubber motor mounts. I should have taken pictures of them before the motor went into the car this afternoon...dang!

Here's a pic of the motor with the polyurethane mount installed before going into the car...They did provide more clearance between the oil pan and crossmember & centerlink.

Nice job. Has the urethane held up? Could you have used some urethane suspension mounts? What are the engine block side mounts from? |

10.5:1cr pistons, 4 bolt main caps, Edelbrock 72cc round port heads (Shoe horned) , harland sharp 1:5 rockers, Performer RPM intake, 800cfm RPM carb. Back then Roller cams where no so popular so the cam ran Rhoads hydraulic flat tappet lifters. If I where to build the 350 today I would run the above with an appropriate roller cam. MSD 6AL ignition with 6500rpm limiter chip. It pulled hard right up to 6,000 RPMs shifting at approximately 6200. Ohh yeah I forgot, I also ran that Turn buckle from the drivers side head to the frame... (Trying to stay on topic)
