Nobody had ever done a turbo install in a Pro formula Mazda, so we had to do everything for the first time. Quite a project, but good results.

Must be exhilarating to pioneer in the different areas of motorsports as you have, many of us are very envious.

A couple of things jump out at me looking at old dragster pics is first they were very tidy and super sorted out looking, extra nice. And also there was an eye for style, I mean, they all looked Cool. Twin engine is a memory favorite.

Honored to have you here Eddie! Welcome! That is a beautiful Ford GT. After Pontiacs, I’m a Corvette guy and I’m eagerly awaiting the reveal of the new C8 MId Engine in July. I love watching the Ford GTs and Corvettes race in IMSA. I won’t get much sleep next weekend while the 24 Horus of LeMans race takes place. Hope to see more posts by you in the future. You have some amazing stories to share I’m sure!

Wow Eddie- that formula Mazda sure is densely-packed! I would welcome your expertise while I'm trying to shrink-fit a Roots-blown Pontiac into my P-38 lakester
I'm guessing that today's NHRA would frown on a dragster using the engine(s) as a stressed frame member?

It's a Catalina. Bonnevilles had a wide ribbed trim piece on the rocker panels, Catalinas had just that thin piece along the body line.

With all the bondo in those lowers that wide ribbed trim piece on the rockers could have fallen off.
