More proof that while some try to make their car "perfect", the factory did not care about perfection, only money.

Notice, the GTO decal is not in the same location on both 68's.

I made the comment because I saw one this weekend that was WAAYYY off in right field.

Incidentally, our decals came off the first time we took our new '68 through the car wash.

I didn't think that 68 and 69 doors were different other than the vent window...please educate me...thanks

The lack of vent window is the difference (other than trim difference on the inside). Also the car has a 69 style square mirror, it’s mounted further forward than a real 69 mirror or way forward of a 68 mirror of course.

I'm sure that would be acrylic lacquer, which has zero lead. In fact I doubt that any lacquer paint (nitrocellulose, etc.) contains any lead.
