Bad Company.
A movie from 1972 with Jeff Bridges about a bunch of kids in the old western days heading west for fame and fortune. Very authentic. |

Another classic but only TCM runs it uncut and with all the "words" not bleeped out.
Clevon Little Gene Wilder Harvey Korman Madeline Kahn Mel Brooks 'Blazing Saddles' Bart: I better go check out this Mongo character. [Bart reaches for his gun] Jim: Oh no, don't do that, don't do that. If you shoot him, you'll just make him mad.

Another one I thought of came out in the 80’s I believe. It’s called “After Hours”. I rarely meet anyone that has ever heard of it. I remember my wife and I watched it, then told all our friends about it and rewatched it over and over with them. Everyone liked it so I don’t know why it never got any attention.
It’s kind of like the movie Pulp Fiction, which you have to see to appreciate, explaining it doesn’t do it justice. As I remember, a guy goes out on a date in NYC and it’s a bust. He tries to go back home to the other side of town, but lost his wallet or keys. Anyway he runs into one oddball character after another, and a series of coincidences happen to prevent him from getting anywhere. You can feel the anxiety build as he tries getting back home, and people trying to help him run him in circles. Another thing I run into is trying to find copies of some of these movies! If ignored or unknown, hard to find a way to watch it. I did find a trailer. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OZzb_6LtMjY

Another oddball movie I remember watching when it came out, then never hearing of it again:
Motel Hell, from 1980. Me and my cousin went to the theater and watched it on someone elses recomendation. A lot of quirky, black comedy. Paul Linke from C-H-i-Ps was in it. |

Cadence with Charlie Sheen and his dad Martin. It starts with Charlie Sheen's character getting drunk and making some bad choices. It must have been a real stretch for old Charlie to make, acting wise

At close range with Christopher Walken and Sean Penn. haven't seen it in a LONG time. I remember there were a couple muscle cars in it.

As mentioned earlier Better off Dead is fairly funny,
But IMO Grosse Pointe Blank was better. Now if I jump into the way back machine, Mr Blandings builds his dream house. (The original Money Pit!) Dry but for some reason I've always found it funny.

My recommended "unknown movie" would be "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!". Black and white cult classic from 1965 that has cars, violence, cleavage and bad acting. Here's the entire movie: https://youtu.be/LmeGKP5Bb20

Does Midnight Express fit ?
The Bedford Incident -1965 , with Sidney Poitier was darn good . I fought it on Netflix a few years back , had never heard of it .
