56 Pontiac at SEMA 2018???
Last week I watched a re-run of the SEMA-2018 show at Vegas and caught a very brief glimpse of a dark blue 56 Pontiac convertible customized car. They made a comment about how nice the car was but didn't show much of it.
Does anyone have pictures/details about that car?? Thanks! |

I'm not a fan of slamming cars on the ground like that, but it's a great looking car. Nice color and wheels.

Looks like it won some cruisers awards at the Detroit Autorama. Trunk area is decked out really nice in a couple pics. LS powered, of course. Lots of time and effort in the body and paint for sure.

Looks good. Of course I would have stuck with a traditional Pontiac engine, maybe with port fuel injection and a serpentine drive system.

That's a nice car, im sure they did a great job with it, but I dont like the low stance and the steam roller tires on the rear. I dont care too much for rat rods either.

It's on air springs, I've seen it at ride height, it is sweet.
The Jan 2020 issue of Street Rodder Magazine has a couple page spread. The detail is amazing. Apparently it was a restored car that belonged to a Pontiac collector, was sold at auction to settle estate. The new owner had it rebuilt into what you see today. |

It's not a custom- totally stock body and trim. It does nothing for me; uncomplementary and glaring mismatch of styles- stagecoach wheel/tires, etc. Sort of fitting to have a SBC engine.

I've followed the builds on all three of these Pontiacs. Truly amazing design and execution.
Isn't it great that the "custom" car builders are finally giving the old Pontiacs some love? |
