That's a weird one. It's a '69 with '68 Dash, steering wheel and seats and '69 door panels. I can see the seats being swapped out at some point, but the dash?

Something fishy going on there. I very seriously doubt it came from the factory that way .... if it did ... then the asking price is WAY too low. They moved the ignition key from the dash to the column in 69 didn't they? That alone would require a different dash harness too and I'm pretty sure the sheet metal behind a 69 dash is different than a 68 so the factory would have had to install 68 sheet metal in a 69 body. The seller is obviously confused and doesn't realize that 69 models were sold in late 68 so the production date is no big deal.

Dash sheet metal replacement is easier than it seems ... I did it on my 68 to replace the original that was hacked up for a radio. With AC dashes you can make a nice clean cut between AC and instrument cut-outs and the side braces and splice in a new one very neatly.

No revealing pictures of the trunklid / rear body panel / tail lights / rear bumper
or quarter panel side markers
All those are different between 68 and 69

Best guess is a 68 hull used in effort to rebuild a 69.
Next guess would be someone just wanted 68 Dash styling and had a parts car.

It sure as hell didn't leave the Baltimore plant like that

This can't be right. They look like the return air grilles that we put in T-bar ceilings, that we call "egg crate". Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the most Hillbilly thing i've seen ever.

After my wife and I married, we tried to find a car like that Lemans. It was 1992 and a devastating recession hollowed out Toronto. We were poor with one kid and another on the way. But these late 70's and 80's midsize GM cars were such a hot commodity that if one came up, you had to be quick. They were inexpensive, reliable and easy to fix. More importantly, larger than their Japanese counterpart.

the Snow Flakes on the 78 Wagon are interesting, I have never seen a 77-79 Catalina or Grand Safari wagon with them (Coupe's & Sedans Yes, but not Wagons) I don't believe they ever made 5X5 Bolt pattern Snow Flake Wheels, and as far as I know all Pontiac B-Body wagons had the larger 5X5 wheel bolt pattern.

I suspect the rotors and axles have been redrilled to 5X4.75" bolt pattern.

Wouldn’t The 78 wagon have the same bolt pattern as any full size B body? I thought they were all 5x5? I have seen them on full size cars so I figured they were offered in 5x5?

I don't know about wagons but I have run a set of stock steel wheels on my GTO that came from a 78 Bonneville. 5x4.75

1977+ B's has 2 bolt patterns; HD, ie Police and Taxi along with wagons ran 5 on 5 - all else 5 on 4.75. Rear drums on HD were 11", 9.5" for regular while up front 11" drums 4.75 and 11.875 for HD.

Scarebird is correct, when my father tried to order the 78 Catalina wagon I still have with Snowflake Wheels. The Dealer placed the order but it was rejected due to the Bolt pattern issue. He was told no Snowflake wheels were available on any Catalina Safari, or Grand Safari models.

That is why I found interesting that the wagon for sale had Snowflakes mounted on it. I think either the wheels have been modified for the 5X5 bolt pattern, or the Spindles and axles have been redrilled for 5X4.75 Bolt pattern.
