Erik, I’m hoping you’ll share some information.

Are you running the 4” or 6” clear view oil filter? It’s hard to tell from the picture I saw. Did you go with the -12 lines? Screw on filter? Are your turbos directly fed from the cnc housing?

I’m planning on adding one in preparation for the turbo upgrade.

4" with spin on filter. -10 lines. Turbos are fed from the oil port next to the distributor.

Erik, what are you using for your Hall effect signals for the crank sensor and cam sensor? A crank trigger? I plan on using the Holley dual sync. Just checking if I need to modify my plan. Thanks

We use a 36-1 crank trigger wheel and sensor from Holley and a Luhn Performance cam sync. We custom made the crank sensor bracket.

How do you like the adjustable front spring pockets? I have some from Innovative Racecraft for first Gen and I’m going to install them when I do my floors and frame rail replacement. Did you plug the remaining holes with plastic hole plugs to keep smoke out of the car from Burnouts? Does the caltracs fit in the upper most portion of the bracket?

So far we like them. We are limited to the lower two holes due to the Caltracs. Nick made the rear floor to where the brackets are completely under the car, they do not go into the interior.

Excellent idea. Look into Funkhouser front brackets that are billet and have all the hardware countersunk into the brackets so they can be used with caltracs and allow mounting deeper into the pocket

Small world… My 70 TA is at Funkhouser Race Cars right now getting updates.

I was just looking at those brackets last week. They are beautiful. They make a lot of really nice leaf spring suspension parts.

I swung by the shop. They can make them in aluminum or steel. Your choice. Aluminum is more expensive obviously. They have a bronze bushing which is replaceable as a wear item. They are very well thought out.

Nick owns the file, I'll ask him if he wants to share it. Keep in mind these will only fit fabricated valve covers and they are for Ign1a coils. (ie Holley smart coil, Mercruiser etc.)

Congrats to Nick for winning fastest Pontiac and placing third in his class (DYO Pro) at Sick Week 2023!
All of the hard work is paying off. The car survived the week of racing and road tripping from Orlando to Bradenton to South Georgia Motorsports Park to Gainesville and finally back to Orlando all while clocking mid eight second passes at each track. Also congrats to Rich Guido (Iron Man) for winning Stick Shift class in his 65 GTO. That man is a legend!
