I'm looking at F70 14 wide oval radial for my wife's 68 Firebird, and wondering if these are available in whitewall? I only see raised white letter and redline...

The Wide Oval radial is only available in RWL or redstripe. I can still get pin white Wide Oval and Polyglas in traditional Bias belted. I can also get BFG in white stripe radials. My cell is 816-654-3400

Looking into the crystal ball at this time, we are okay, but we could lose manufacturing capabilities in a snap.

What about Firestone repro’s tires?

I hope this is the right place to ask, but I have a problem with a set of tires on my car. I bought them in 1986 and they were stored in my basement where they remained until last year. They are Goodyear reproduction tires with a more modern tread, but they look vaguely like the old style. They are 235 15 78 series and I want to know if they are safe to drive on. I'm afraid the rubber may have deteriorated. I've asked around, but no one seems to know. Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

DO NOT DRIVE ON THOSE TIRES! They are 32 years beyond their safe age. 100 percent guarantee
they will explode if you drive on them, tearing the fender off your car and perhaps causing a bad accident..... send them to the scrap pile. Never drive on tires older than 6 years of age at highway speeds. |

I am sorry as I have not read the whole thread.
However, SVRA allows Blue Streaks, https://www.cokertire.com/tires/good...wl-695-14.html . So a nice vintage tire option... Mike |
