Hi all- I have a couple full size steering columns, a couple std, a couple tilts. One of the tilts has a noisy lower bearing, both std. columns have good quiet bearings. I am hoping to come out of this with a good tight tilt column. Are both of the lower bearings (tilt and std) identical? And I'm guessing (?) the bearings are pressed on? And I don't have a means to have them pressed on/off. Any advice most appreciated.

Call or email Chuck Schuster @ Parts Finders! He is the go to guy for GM columns! He did tilts for my 64 Grand Prix & my 66 Catalina Conv. He also upgrades the weaker parts in the column. He will tell you exactly what to do & what you need.
You will have to Google him, I am not close to his number at the moment. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...closed.614419/
