Installing a dash switch whether it be power antenna/ defrost or / power top
Hi guys,
Question, mine has never been hooked up properly. I've removed all the plastic etc and am ready to install the switch. My questions is, how do you? Do you have to remove the "connector" for the switch way back at the fuse panel? ( i'm pointing at it, it's really frig'n difficult to pull apart, maybe it is not suppose to, I've pulled the tab down and it isn't easy to separate" Then put all the plastic faux wood back and run the wire through the switch hole. Then attach at the back the metal spring that forces it against the dash and plastic so it stays in place? If I explained this correctly? I realize the spring on the switch is disconnected, I know how to push it back into the tabs I had to use a dremel to cut the hole for the switch in the plastic.

well guess i just needed to talk myself through it, lol.
finally got plastic cut, then sharp blade to cut sticker opening. Attach... so i ran wire through the square hole, fit perfectly !!! I then ran that metal spring back along wire then to back of switch and it held it snug. Very happy, now I know!
