Hi guys,
My nephew recently bought an '80 GA and is looking to remove the AIR pump. What pulleys do you need to make the conversion? There's a write up on 78 TA about for birds but he bought the recommended pulley and says it hits the balancer pulley when trying to install. Any help is appreciated

With two large diam pulleys hitting each other, your nephew 301 has AC, & he must have picked up a non AC application wp pulley. The wp pulley needed will be 481040 or a 10004850, either will line up with what the engine has, a 481038 crank pulley with the supplemental AC pulley behind it. Need a wp pulley, feel free & PM.

I’m resurrecting this to ask another question related to the removal. His car has popped to or 3 power steering hoses. They’ve replaced the pump twice as well. Any ideas, he used the 481040 pulley
Thanks

Just wondering if this car is Agate Red.
Kind of an orange color. |

I believe it’s Dark Claret but I’ve only seen it once. What’s your obsession with it?

Well, that's what I was thinking. I had 1 and have seen 3 others over the past 40 years.
It's a fairly rare color. The one I sold went to Canada and got a frame off restoration. |

This one I believe will be for sale as soon as we get the power steering sorted. It was going to get the dreaded LS swap by my nephew but I think he’s decided otherwise.
