Well assuming the 400 will be .030" over, and then also assuming your 1974 350 cid # 46 castings where no more then 96 CCs in stock form, you then will need a maximum of 116 CCs of volume total at TDC to have a 9 to 1,compression.
Some normal CC numbers to add to your chamber volume are Head gasket =9.4CCs. 4 valve notch Pistons = 6.7 CCs. .023" deck clearance = 5.097 CCs. Top Ring land volume= 1.5CCs. And lastly the valve job done to the head likely added 1 to 1.5 CCs to the chamber volume. Milling the head .030" will knock off 5 CCs.
