Thanks for fixing that.
The rule book also says , Expiration Period every 2 years. I don't see any "if, and or buts" ??? Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman Section 4A, page 6 E.T. SHEET METAL Driver-compartment interior must be aluminum, steel, NHRAaccepted carbon fiber, or fiberglass. Magnesium prohibited. UPHOLSTERY Optional. See General Regulations 6:2. WINDOW NET A ribbon-type or SFI 27.1 mesh-type window net is mandatory for any full-bodied car running 7.50 (*4.50) to 9.99 (*6.39) or if vehicle runs 135 mph or faster. See General Regulations 6:3.

IF a car is required to have an SFI net, it must be renewed every two years. However, a 7.50 to 9.99 car doesn't require an SFI net if it's a ribbon-type net. That's my take on it now. And that's why we have to take the SFI tag off: if an inspector sees an outdated SFI tag, he will probably feel compelled to question it. Jim
