I was an NFL season ticket owner.

I say "was" because after the opening game in MN, 6 Vikings players knelt during the national anthem for the first time in NFL history and the Vikings "honored" George Floyd's family during the opening ceremonies. The fact that the stadium is located in downtown Minneapolis and the city council is actively defunding the police department is just another kick in the ass.

I listed my PSL's the next morning.

NASCAR had a situation that needed to be investigated as a potential hate crime. But it was quickly investigated by the NFL and proven to be a non issue.

After "an emotional few days," NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace addressed his followers on Twitter Wednesday after the FBI investigation concluded that he was not the direct target of a hate crime.

"First off, I want to say how relieved I am that the investigation revealed that this wasn’t what we feared it was," Wallace said after NASCAR initially reported a noose was found in his team's garage at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday."

NASCAR hasn't had the years of "wokeness" that the NFL and NBA fans (or ex fans) has endured (and continues to endure.

I know you love racing. I encourage you to give NASCAR another chance.

I too thoroughly enjoy dirt track racing - I just don't care nearly as much for sprint cars as you do. Give me a dirt late model or modified any day over those cars that need to be pushed to start.

Is any thing better these days? It seems the cars all look the same,the movies are over sexualized and violent, and redundent. The music is a joke. sports all sold out to political correctness. and seems everyone wants to tell you what to think.and to believe. So I will focus on my faith and family and a simple drive in my Pontiac and take pleasure in the small gifts of life. Brian
